Video Podcast Management
What is video podcast management?
Find a lawyer, real estate agent, or any business owner and tell them that you will manage & create their podcast, and that you will also video it for them.
What does video podcast management include?
- You find and schedule podcast guests for your Client. This can be as easy as just contacting 10 other real estate agents or lawyers or similar biz owners in the Client’s city and inviting them on the podcast (think ‘networking’ in the digital world).
- The Client purchases a $37.50/Mo. subscription to BeLive.tv, a Live Streaming software that makes it super easy to conduct side by side video interviews in 1080 HD, while automatically uploading the video file to YouTube or Facebook. BeLive.tv also lets you download the audio file alone, so that you can upload it to any podcast hosting platform.
- You charge a one-time fee (a setup fee) to train the Client on how to use belive.tv to make a side by side video interview / podcast interview.
- The Client interviews the guest on BeLive.tv. You upload the video file to YouTube and you upload the audio file to any podcast hosting.
Why business owners need this?
Because networking SUCKS. You drive to a dark bar during rush hour traffic to hand your business card to 5 other people who are doing so crappy in business that they have to drive to dark bars during rush hour traffic to hand their business card to 5 people.
Whereas, yesterday I made a video podcast with Angela Langlotz (from the comfort of my own home) and more than 500 people saw it in the first day. You tell me what was the better business move…handing out my business card to 5 uninterested people, or demonstrating my expertise and authority to my audience and Angela’s audience? That’s a no brainer. You just have to learn how to sell it to business owners (super easy).
💲 How you get paid! 💲
- 6 Mo. Prepay $11,982: 2 Shows per month @ $1,997/Mo. (12 shows total)
- 6 Mo. Prepay $15,582: 3 Shows per month @ $2,597/Mo. (18 shows total)
Possible Upsells.
- Uploading the video file to YouTube is included in the regular price, but possible add-ons are:
- Sharing the YouTube vid to Client’s Facebook Page, LinkedIn profile, and Twitter profile.
- Creating a 60 second clip of the original mp4 file and uploading the mp4 file directly to Client’s Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter
- Uploading the audio file to one Podcast hosting platform is including in regular price, but possible add-ons are:
- Uploading the audio file to 10-20 other podcast hosting platforms to acquire backlinks to the Client’s website for SEO purposes
- Making a visual still frame snippet of a 30 second clip to upload to Client’s Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, & LinkedIn
- Uploading the Video & Audio to the Client’s online properties is included in the regular price, but possible add-ons are:
- Following up with the guests after the show and encouraging them to share the video / podcast / media on their social media & website.
- Embedding the YouTube video & Podcast on the Clients website via a blog article and adding the video transcript beneath the embed to serve as content for the blog article. Then sending that article to the Guest so that they can link back to it on their social & website for added traffic and backlinks.
- After you’ve done this with one Client for about 2 months, you could just write down your system and package it as a DIY course for a one-time payment of $2,997
Out of the box thinking upsells. (basically this is just x-rated bonus material that I shouldn’t have released for free)
- Each video drives viewers to a LeadPages landing page (that the Client purchased through your monthly recurring affiliate link), that lets the viewer opt in to the Client’s GetRespons email auto-responder (that the Client purchased through your monthly recurring affiliate link).
- Now that you’ve helped the Client build an email list, somebody has to manage their email marketing…say 3 emails a month at $197/mo.
Day Job Killer Probability.
[8 Clients at $1,997/Mo. = $15,976/Mo.] + [2 Clients at $2,597/Mo. = $5,194/Mo.] = $21,170/Mo. with only 10 Clients. That doesn’t even account for possible upsells. This is easily a $30,000/mo business (what I call the league minimum because it’s $1,000/day) with almost zero tech knowledge, near zero overhead (the client pays for everything), and you’re actually helping people build their business. Or, you could go make $29/hr (about $4,640/Mo.) at Amazon.
YouTube Channel Management
This is basically just a one-person podcast show from the above example. Every business owner knows they need to be making videos on YouTube. I built my entire business by ranking for a keyword in the Google search results running Facebook ads Google pay per click ads publishing no budget goofy little YouTube videos about lawyer marketing.
What is YouTube Channel Management?
You assist the Client in finding video topics. Create a video shooting / publishing calendar/schedule for them.
Charge a one time setup fee to train the client in how to make videos, sitting at their computer, with a USB webcam, a USB mic, lighting, and BeLive software (of course you will take commissions for all of those purchases by sending the Client your affiliate links).
You keep things simple by telling the client to:
- Keep the videos less than 3 minutes long
- Shoot in one take, there will be no editing (editing is an upsell because editing sucks).
Here is what a YouTube video, shot with the above supplies & criteria (except this one is longer than 3 mins) looks like.
💲 How You Get Paid 💲
You charge $997/Mo. to keep the Client on course with the schedule and to Upload the videos to their YouTube channel, publishing 2-3 vids per month.
Possible Upsells.
- Share the YouTube video to Clients Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter
- Upload the MP4 video file directly to Clients Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram
- Acquire more backlinks for Clients website by uploading the mp4 file to Vimeo, DailyMotiong, and other video file hosting platforms
- Make the video into a blog article for the Client’s website where you embed the video and add the video transcript, then syndicate that blog article to Client’s social media
- Make the video file into a Podcast file by simply downloading the audio file from BeLive.tv.
- Acquire more backlinks for the Client by creating a profile on and uploading the audio file to 20 other podcast hosting platforms.
- Create YouTube video thumbnails for the Client
Out of the box thinking upsells.
12 Clients at $997/Mo. = $11,964/Mo. That doesn’t even account for possible upsells.
Also, consider how insanely scaleable this is. You could easily hire $10/hr employees off of Craigslist, train them because this requires almost zero tech knowledge, then just let one $10/hr employee manage up to 5 clients. That’s about $1,600/Mo. labor costs with $4,985/Mo. income from 5 Clients. That’s insane profit, and totally scaleable to $30,000/Mo.
And most importantly, this is something that business owners actually need, and it can actually grow a business.
Instagram Management
This one is basically a riff on the two above, but with shorter video times. Typically Instagram videos are 60 sec or less. Longer than that and they go in IGTV, which allows you to host longer format videos.
But it’s basically the same thing as YouTube on shorter.
Help the Client pick 10-20 video topics a month. Make 60 sec or less short clips on the topic via video. All the same: belive.tv, USB cam, USB mic, lights. Download the video file from belive.tv and upload to Client’s Instagram.
Charge $697/Mo. for 10-20 short clips.
Upsells
- Upload the mp4 file directly to Client’s Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter: + $37/Mo.
- Upload the mp4 file to Client’s YouTube channel, create a blog article on Client’s website where you embed the YouTube vid and type out the video transcript: + $97/Mo.
- Optimize Client’s Instagram profile for Lead Generation: $29 one time fee as a trip wire to get them into your funnel & upsell to monthly recurring Management
- Upload the mp4 file to Client’s snapchat: + $37/Mo.
- Upload the mp4 file to Client’s TikTok: + $37/Mo.
Day Job Killer Probability
12 Clients @ $697/Mo. = $8,364/Mo.
You’ll have to upsell a few clients to get to $10,000/mo on 10-12 Clients, but the potential is definitely there.
Tips For Replacing Your Day Job Income in a Down Economy
One…Stop thinking in terms of annual salary, and start thinking in terms of monthly recurring income. This was the first big mindset shift that changed my financial life.
Two…Get around people who make 6 figures per month every month. This was the 2nd big mindset shift that changed my financial life. You need to KNOW it’s possible. That when I say $30,000/Mo. is the league minimum, that I’m not bulljiving you. This can only happen by seeing normal everyday shumcks pulling that kind of money without even trying and thinking to yourself, “why the heck is this idiot making more than me?”
Three…In the beginning, do things that don’t scale.
The problem with beginner online marketers is that they want to make passive income. They want to put a link on the internet and get paid every time someone clicks on it while they sit on a beach in Playa del Carmen.
They fail because they want to start businesses that depend on (high volume) traffic to make any decent amount of money. They want to sell $25 T-shirts at 50% profit margin. They want to survive off of $0.19 clicks or $0.00019 views, and can’t figure out why internet marketing doesn’t work.
Those kind of methods are highly scalable, and have great potential to be super passive ways to make money…IF YOU KNOW HOW TO GENERATE A TON OF INTERNET TRAFFIC (and how to convert that traffic into dollars). And if you did, then you wouldn’t be reading this blog.
So in the beginning, focus on being a service. Do something valuable (that actually has a return on investment) for someone who makes a lot of money every month (an already successful business owner). Offer a service that is FREE to the buyer. In other words, my marketing services cost my Clients nothing [BECAUSE THEY MAKE MONEY OFF OF WHAT I DO FOR THEM].
Sell some valuable service, on a monthly recurring basis, for $1,000 – $3,000 per month. Now you only need five or 10 clients to quit your job. THEN you can worry about scaling.
